In honor of Obama acting all presidential and everything, I decided to add one more AR to the world. Do it now while we still can, I guess...

  • DPMS 5.56 lower
  • Stag/CMT M4 upper
  • Badger Gen II TacLatch
  • RRA 2-stage NM trigger
  • VLTOR stock
  • WOA 18" SS SPR profile barrel and bolt
  • PWS FSC30 flash hider / comp
  • YHM front sight
  • Brownells HK-type rear sight
  • ERGO grip
  • Magpul triggerguard
  • MI low profile gas block
  • YHM FF rifle-length quad rail handguard
  • MI sling mounts
  • EoTech
  • PRI mags

I've only tested it for basic function checks at 50 yards with Silver State ammo. No reloads yet. While I wasn't doing any accuracy work, it was printing just a hair under an inch. We'll see what it does once I get serious about loads.

That PWS comp/flashhider works really well. No noticable back/side blast, but it takes what little recoil the 6.8 has and makes it much closer to a 5.56. More when I wring this baby out.

I googled that FH with credit card in hand until I saw it was 100 bucks! :uhoh:

Looks like it deserves magnified optics, though.

Yeah, thinking of stealing my 1.4-4x DMS-1 optic off my FAL...then again, my 308 will be lonely.

Maybe I'll try a magnifier?

Yeah, then again, there's something about Obama that makes me want to spend money...against him.

I'm pretty sure he's now the acting chancellor of Germany, so I think you'd better come up with an HK 416. J/K - Awesome build - that rocks.

Nice build. :)

I really like those badger tac-latches...
They're nice on the firing line, but not so nice in the brush. They catch on EVERYTHING no matter how you sling up, and the noise of the latch unlatching and relatching is a real bummer when you're trying to be unobtrusive.
