I found this little lady about three months ago in a pawn shop I go to from time to time. They had two, but this one passed my screening and I brought her home. I added the USGI flash suppressor and the stock and handguard from my Loaded Standard that recently went into a SAGE EBR chassis. It seems the older SA Inc parts are nicer IMO.

She a plain jane, vanilla rifle, that I plan to keep more or less true to form. The mods I plan are basic, NM op-rod spring guide, un-hooded NM apeture, shim the gas cylinder and add a USGI or PB extractor.

I've added a cheek piece and a Turner NM sling, everything else will come in time.

Here she is.

We recently ( in the last year) got a new rifle range out in the county and I hope to get dope for her out to the 500 yard line.

Looks good. Your planned mods well make the standard a damn good shooter. You could do the detent/spring/ball mod for the windage. Couple of places offer the kit and most SAI receivers are already drilled to except the spring and ball.

Here's a old thread about this mod.

Screw and glue the gas cylinder and shim it is one of the best accuracy mods you can do for these.
