Nanny Bloomberg Bankrolls Anti-Gun Candidates

I read a couple of news articles on this already this morning. Apparently, the billionaire NY mayor Nanny Bloomberg is now bankrolling candidates based on their anti-2nd Amendment positions.

Apparently not happy with ripping the Constitution apart in his own city and state, this guy has now set his sights on total destruction of our countries fundamental rights that have been guaranteed since its inception. The upside, it appears, at least for now, to be happening in those races where the anti-gun crowd had the upper-hand to begin with.

The message should be loud and clear - gun owners need to rally around the NRA and other groups that have the muscle to fight this travesty. You may not like everything they do - but without them, who else does the average gun owner have in their corner.

Its alwas been my position that the only people allowed to fund a campign are those that live in area that is responsible for electing said person to office. I believe the following people are the only ones allowed to contribute to someone running for office and those people are those who live in the area , can legally vote for the office up for election, a close family member (1st degree) or a person who owns property in the area yet lives elsewhere.

Interesting that Bloomberg, a former Republican, is pushing the Democratic party to nominate candidates on a subject that cost the party heavily in 1994, 2000, and 2004. In every one of those elections, Dems voting for gun control got slaughtered in most states. It was only when Scumer started courting Blue Dog Dems that the party saw any success in Congress - and now you can't even be "just for universal background checks" in Cook County.

According to MSNBC, Bloomberg has devoted $2 million to opposing the one Democratic candidate trying to take Jesse Jackson Jr's office in Chicago that actually has a good NRA rating.

Apparently his message is that having the NRA back you brings negatives as well as positives.
