There is a stunningly good article in National Geographic about hunting this month.

The whole gist of the article is that the S owes hunters a tremendous for preserving wild land and really providing a heap of cash, with literally dozens of species essentially dependant on hunters for their very existence.

Really, a good article.

Wow. I always figured National Geographic was against hunting. They seem the liberal types.

NG generally does a poor job discriminating between hunters and poachers. We should celebrate the even-handedness of this article. It is rare that hunters get such positive press in a mainstream magazine.

I think its interestiing that the left/green side of the spectrum seems to be moving all of their positions. The Sierra Club president has admitted that being so anti-nuke was shortsighted and mistaken. Now NG has published, dare I say it, a positive article on hunting.

Instead of worrying about what NG was, lets worry about what NG is becoming.

Oh, another one from NG;
