I ordered a box of 500 180g FP from Laser Cast the other day (for some reason, whenever I open the boxes and let the air get at em' they all dissapear within a month or so - strangest thing) and during the order got to talking to the woman. I told her my 44 mag loves the 180 grain FP with 11.5 g of Unique. Nice super super accurate target load for me at 25 yards. During our conversation I asked if they offered any type of sampler pack - they didn't. She asked what would I like to try and I said the 300g TC. She was nice enough to send me 6 of them which is someting she didn't have to do but did anyway. So I look them up in my Speer manual and no luck. I tried the Accurate manual also and again no luck. Does anyone out there have a recipe for 44 mag with 300g TC? Thanks....

The closest I found was for a 275gr. cast bullet, truncated style, in my Lyman 47th.
for THAT bullet they show 9.5 minimum to 11.5 max load of Unique. fps from 700 to 916fps,using a 4" universal reciever test barrel.

IF it were me ,and Im NOT SAYING YOU SHOULD DO THIS, I would try 9.5grains of Unique, see how it goes and go from there.Might even try 10 the 1st time out.

In order of increasing muzzle velocity: 310 grain LSWC = 7.2 grains Unique, 6.8 grains Bullseye, 8 grains Herco, or 13.5 grains 2400. (source is Alliant reloading guide)
