I need a holster for a H&K USP 45 Fullsize. I would like a Kydex or other type of "plastic", but leather will be fine if it won't ruin the finish as bad as a Kydex type. Who make a good one for cheap? The holster will be for open carry. I am looking for a vertical or forward cant on the right hip. The only one that seems for be good is the Triple K brand leather holster Cabela's sells, but it has an extra magazine holder which I am not sure that I like for about 50.00 bux. If you know of any holsters for this model that are good quality, comfortable to have on the hip, and won't break the bank, please list them. Thanks!!!

I bought a Bianchi Accumold for $40 for my 1911, it seems very nice for the day and a half I've had it. I also really like the Uncle Mikes belt holster I have for my S&W M66. The Uncle Mike's is a fake leather called Nytek; it looks good and has worn well so far, price was around $30. For what you're looking for though I think you'd really like a Bianchi Accumold.

A kydex holster won't do anything to the finish. Leather would do more, as the dead cow skin absorbs the oils you put on your gun. Kydex doesn't.

I don't understand why people think they can skimp out on a holster, as it's the most important thing next to your gun. Especially for conceal carry you want a good holster thats going to be comfortable, rocksteady, and not going to fly apart on you should things get hairy.

I must suggest you visit www.comp-tac.com and look into their kydex IWB holsters. Fully adjustable 25 to -25 degree cant and a variety of belt hooks make these very versitile and dependable holsters. For about $90 it's a very wise investment.

Don Hume makes decent leather holsters that won't break the bank. The prices below are list on their website but you can find them for cheaper.

Who make a good one for cheap?

No one. If you've spent the money to acquire a quality handgun to safeguard your life and propery then be prepared to spend a bit more to get a quality holster.

Wesker, I'm not trying to skimp on a Holster, I am just trying to get the best deal I possibly can. I have heard Comp-Tac and Blade-Tech are good, and I'm willing to pay their price, but if there is a company jut as good for less money, by all means I'm going with them. I'm just don't like to pay more than I need to. Take Care.

S&W M66 in Uncle Mikes Nytek, SA 1911 in Bianchi Accumold. The Bianchi is marketed as a LE duty holster, and it's very well made for the just under $40 price tag.
