Kit was bought 5/1979 for my Cousins retirement gift. But he passed away before he could start it, I bought it from his wife's estate sale when she passed away a while back.
All the parts and paper work were in the box except the instruction manual for building it (if there was one?).
Does anyone have a copy of the manual or from a similar kit gun?

All I have left to do is blueing

Thanks Bruce

Thompson/Center Seneca. No longer made, in part because the factory burned down.

The Thompson/Center Hawken is still made, but is a different rifle, and somewhat changed from 1979. Mine is close to that old.

If all you have left to do is bluing, then follow the instructions of whoever made the bluing chemicals. They're all different.

Do you have to draw-file the barrel? I don't remember what it looked like before I screwed with it. If so, look up draw-filing an octagon barrel on the 'net.

I browned mine. Bluing came along a bit later in history, than the rifles these are loosely based on, and I wanted mine to look a bit more like a gun from the 1830s.
