Need help selling a T.C. 7mm TCU

My dad used to shoot competition back in the 80's and was sold on the 7mm TCU as an excellent flat shooting cartridge for that sport. He's all done with that now and asked me to help him sell it. Problem is I have no idea where to begin on a handgun chambered in a wildcat cartridge.

It's a ten inch barrel model and in excellent condition, and I believe that this is the older style receiver (he bought it in the 80's, did they change since then?). He still has the box as well.

Any help as to where to start on something like this would be much appreciated, and of course anyone in the south eastern corner of WI who may be interested please let me know.

Gunbroker is your friend. Put it up on there; it may take a while but it'll sell eventually if you have it up for a good price.

I was thinking that it might make it easier to sell the frame separate from the barrel. Looking through those GB actions the only thing I don't understand is how some of these non-licensees are getting away with the cheapo shipping on the frames as they should still be considered handguns. Must have a shipping dealer I suppose.

For a handgun that's cheap, but like you said your dealer handles it. I've tried and tried but I cannot get anyone local to me, even the transfer dealers I do a ton of business with, to ship for me.

I just sent a Beretta Bobcat one state over to Minnesota today, guess how much? 70 bucks! Kinda sucks the life out of any opportunity to sell across state lines.

The Thompson Center Handgun - Gen 1, If you fire it/drop the hammer, it has to have the action opened & closed to recock the hammer.

Thompson Center G2 Contender - you don't have to open / close the action to recock the hammer. & the grip is a bit more user friendly

I had a G2 Contender with a 7-30 Watters 14" Bbl. sold it. but

Anybody can ship a handgun, but it has to be shipped to an FFL person if out of state.

Sell it on Gunbroker or the Contender classifieds on Greybeard Outdoors forum.

Love the 7TCU and so very easy to make from abundant 223 brass. A great performing handgun cartridge with very little recoil.

Actually you don't have to open the action. Pulling on the trigger guard spur will reset it.
