Need help with a Browning BAR (Not Military)

An old gent passed away and his wife is selling off his collection. I have my eyes on a Browning BAR, not military. Here's what I got over the phone.
It's late 60's or 1970, Made in Belgium, 30.06, semi auto.
The rife has never been fired and in closet storage all these years. It's said to look new.
The stock (pistol grip area) and forearm has checkering, it has rifle sights with a hooded front sight, and a white bead on the front sight blade.
Here are whatever markings are on it.........A crown with the letter R under it, under the R is a star, under the star is the letter Z, and under the Z are the letters PV. There is also another crown, and under that crown is a circle with the letters ELG in it.
Does anyone know what it might be worth. I want to make her an offer that's fair.

Sounds like a standard model, the marks are just the Belgian proff marks. It's hard to say on value, mint all Belgian guns are worth more to Browning collectors, probably would sell for $500-600 if truly like new.

The later guns (2nd & 3rd issue) will state on the bbl "made in Belgium, assembled in Portugal).

The first production will have a scalloped receiver, the subsequent ones are flat from front to rear.

And by the way, they are ALL great rifles, if you're buying it to hunt with you won't be disappointed.

The older Brownings are much more desirable than the new ones, especially the ones made in Belgium. I would think somewhere in the $500. range would be a fair price.
