OK, I admit I'm not a gunsmith. I usually only fieldstrip my handguns for cleaning to the point they describe in the manual.

Anyway, I have a Colt Pony (.380) Pocketlite that I bought used, so I'm not sure how many rounds are through it. (I've shot about 150). It worked fine when I shot it last Fall.

So I brought it to the range yesterday, and the trigger kept "hanging up". The gun would fire fine, but the trigger would remain in the back position until I pulled it a little again, or jiggled it, then it would go forward.

What might be causing this? The magazine (I only brought one)? The ammo? Some internal spring or mecanism that is a mystery to me (since I only have field-stripped the gun)?

Any advice on how to proceed or look would be helpful.

Get a tooth brush

Gunsmiths will tell you that frequently the first thing they do is a detailed cleaning. A surprising number of repairs are accomplished that way.
