Need help with concealment

I have just started carrying around a fixed-blade knife on my belt along with a folding blade in my pocket, but i have having a hard time not printing with this small knife, and am very concerned about concealing the 4" 1911 i'll be purchasing soon.
I am 6'1" and 150 lbs, a small guy.
Any techniques or holsters that will hep me conceal?

Layers. Dress in layers and take advantage of the curves of your pelvis. Barring that, consider a smaller CC gun. Think about a Sig P238. It's basically a 1911 that shrunk in the wash, chambered in .380. I'm planning on getting one for my summer gun.

How are you trying to hide it?

Pics would help, as it's not really a problem.......once you know how.

You'd be amazed at what you can hide if you dress right, and I'm not talking Hawaiian shirts and "shoot-me-first" vests. How do you normally dress? Can you show us a picture?

I don't have many pictures on my computer, but I very normal for a 21 year old.
I usually wear boot cut Levi's, M sized t-shirts, and a hoodie. i'll see if i can get a picture up soon...

Funny, I am ordering my new holster for my Glock 30 on Monday from Crossbreed Holsters. I hear nothing but how comfortable they are and how easily they are conceal even bigger guns. I would look into a super tuck if I were you, pretty sweet holster that allows you to tuck in a shirt while wearing it. Concealing is usually a holster thing rather then gun size, albeit a Desert Eagle .50 or a 8 inch S&W 500 are not really realistic.

Layers help as well but I want this new holster so I can move from pocket carrying my S&W 640 in the summer to my Glock on my waist. My holster now is uncomfortable and prints more than I want it to. I might also recommend wearing a shirt a size lager then normal, that helps too.

+1 on the supertuck. i carry my G27 or my G22 in one all day without an issue. they are extreamly comfortable. i thought about getting something else for my sp101 but i figure if it aint broke, dont fix it! go check out crossbreed holsters and you will not be dissapointed!

Appendix carry. Cut a hole in the handwarmer pocket of your sweatshirt, and you can have your hand on your gun at all times!

I don't understand the correlation you've made between my weight and location helps me conceal weapons on my person.

A 1911 conceals pretty well. My deepest concealment rigs for one are various IWB style holsters that I wear at 4 o'clock or so behind my right hip. The gun rides pretty flat against my side and I wear a straight-tailed overshirt or discreet vest to cover the butt.

Also, don't be too concerned about every bump or lump that you THINK the rest of the world will see. Folks just DON'T notice. I've carried a 629 under a t-shirt without alarming anyone.

A hoodie should cover your gun with NO problems, and a long-tailed, straight-cut shirt or vest would do so just as well. Further, go about your business armed with the knowledge that you are acting in accordance with the law and have no fear!

Yep, 1+ what Sam1911 said. I think you might want to lose the fixed bladed knife around town. Check your local knife carry laws. Hopefully for you they will allow. Not so here in the south.

IWB or high ride belt holster at four o'clock, with some degree of forward cant. Fits in the 'hollow' concavity of your lower back. Loose bowling shirt or hawaiian shirt, or dickies work shirt. Blazer or sportcoat in cooler weather. Smaller/thinner gun if necessary. Or a nice sexy man purse.
