Need help with mfg date

I have an old S&W "lemon squeezer" that my father-in-law left to me and I was trying to date it.
The serial number consists of only 6 numbers.
If someone could help me out I would be extremely thankful.

Is it a .32 or a .38? What are the "6 numbers?" Give all the information you have, don't make us play Twenty Questions.

I don't know what S&W will tell you if you call, they normally charge $50 for a factory letter documenting the origin of a gun, with a several month turnaround for Mr Jinks to get around to you.

Without more information, I can definitively say that it was made in the 19th or 20th century.
