I have a lead on a used 22 WMR/.410. It is a Savage, over/under/ single shot, selector on hammer, wood stock, case hardened receiver, no engraving. Good shape, but have not seen it as it is based on a freind who I trust.

What do you think it is worth?

Good gun? Seems like it might be fun for hiking and plinking.

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks NC. I did and there are several on there, but I find that GunBroker is not very relevant for pricing. Hope I don't get flamed, but I found that it is often over priced as compared to gun guides, used gun shops, or actual PP sales. Seems like the same sellers just relist the same gun over and over at an inflated price waiting for a sucker.

I love my 22lr/410.

If its in good shape, $300 is about right. I would offer $200 to begin with though. They aren't spectacular rifles, but there is a decent demand for them since they aren't being made anymore.

That true to a degree, but the bottom line is that the Savage M24 and variants are bringing high prices because they are sought after for the same reason that you mentioned. I have a friend that bought one last year in 22LR & 410, and he paid $425 for it. Granted it was in near new condition, but there are various brands of firearms in post-production bringing outrageous prices and are a good investment if you have the money.

Thank you everyone so very much.

I am leaning toward getting it. It is priced at $300 but like I said, condition is suppose to be good, but it is probably average. Sounds like I can always shoot it for a couple years and then get out of it for about what I paid for it or a bit less if I don't like it. I have a 6 year old so it might be good single shot for him and me to plink with when hiking.

As always, this sight is the greatest.
