I want to take the Vortex Senora scope I have on my Savage Arms A22 and put it on my AR15. I want to replace it with a powerful scope that I will be able to put on a Ruger Precision Long Range Rifle when I buy it. I want the option to be able to shoot at 1,000 yards.

Thanks

The Pic is my current set up.

whats your budget, and when you say "shoot at 1,000 yards" what do you intend to shoot AT 1,000yds.
I just took my dad out to 980ish today. He was shooting a 10-50, and a 3-16. I had a 6.5-20, 6-24, and 5-25 on the guns i was using. The cost of the scopes runs from about 300 bucks to about a grand, their intended usage ranges from mid distance hunting/varminting to benchrest or "tactical" competition.

Quite honestly we werent asking a whole lot out of them and making hits on the 10" plate we were shooting at, in the conditions we were shooting, was simply could you see the target well enough to get on, and were the adjustments good enough to put the bullet on after a sighter or two (dad managed to run the first 3 with his Bergara with the Sightron SIII, and put it away)
Some were nicer, some adjusted cleaner, one ran out of adjustment and required the use of the reticle.....all still did what they were supposed to. Change the condition, make the target smaller, or change some other variable and there might have been a noticeable difference.

I'm loving this one.

From what I know of it, that Venom should work for what you want.
Id also recommend you take a look at some of the specials cameraland and europtic are running. There are some good deals to be had.

I've been on a Burris kick as of late. I haven't used any of their higher priced scopes, but if the quality is proportionate to price like it is on their lower priced lines I think you'll be happy.

Based on your price point and what you want, their Veracity or RT Long Range would probably appeal to you. I think most of the options in each line fall at $800 or below street price, despite the MSRP listing.
