Need normal capacity magazines for CZ 75

I did a little searching for some 15 round mags for the CZ 75 and here's what I've came across so far:


Western brand - $19.99 from Cabelas

So what's the best to go with? The ones from CDNN are definitely out of my price range and I've never heard of the Western brand. I'm thinking of just going with the $17 ones from CheaperThanDirt (I've *heard* they are ProMag brand), they are on back order but the price is right.

I figure whatever I get they are going to be better than these junk factory 10 rounders that came with the gun. These things have a big cheap plastic base and they rattle around like no other when you have them loaded up.
 
Go to the CZForum (WWW.CZForum.com) and check out the FAQ area. You'll find a lot of information about mag compatibility, etc.

I've found that Magnum Research mags work fine in my CZs (if they're a "B" series gun) but only true factory mags can be counted on to work in a non-B (older) CZ.

Some of these mags are really made for Tanfoglio/Witness guns, and the Witnesses have their mag release set a bit lower in the grip. When one of their mags are used in a CZ (B), the higher CZ release forces the mag up higher in the well, and makes it harder to insert, and they often won't work -- press too hard against the underside of the slide.

Opening up the top of the mag release notch with a Dremel or small flat file will allow these mags to work well, as that lets them drop a bit in the mag well.

Pro-Mags are fairly good mags for a CZ, but tend to have weaker springs -- which can be replaced with Wolff springs when they start to give you problems. I also don't really like the plastic base plates.

On the CZ forum, most of the folks who have used Reddogxx seem satisfied, nobody has had good results from the Cabelas mags, and the CTD mags seem fine.

The CZ factory mags would be the best, but NOT at that price.
 
CZ-USA has a few hi-caps left. Price was $49.00 last time i checked.

Genuine factory mags for CZs are still cheaper than most 'real' hi-caps
for most pistols.

Especially, if you are using a CZ for defense, don't compromise on mag
quality.

When CZ-USA runs out. I don't know where people will turn to.
Until then, buy them while you can.

I would definately NOT get those cheap garbage mags from Cabella's or CTD.

That leaves you with CZ-USA, CDNN, (I would recommend either), or that guy who may or may not be ripping people off.
 
Promags work fine in both of my CZ's.
MRI mags work in my 75B but not in my 85C.
I think reddogxx has some of the stepped-baseplate mags, which are definitely real.
 
I got factory 10-rounders from Cheaper Than Dirt a month, ago, and now jams are a thing of the past. I can finally start to enjoy my 75B, after suffering with off-brand mags for a year. In the future, I will order some aftermarket hi-caps and test them out, and I may buy some mag springs and tinker with the bad mags I still have, but now I at least have four factory mags that I can go back to when I don't want to worry about reliability.
 
should be able to find them on the boards gunbroker or or auctionarms for about 35 bucks shipped. Sometimes a little more sometimes a little less. Also Redogxx does have some factory mags but they are more expensive, look at his other auctions and look for the pictures with the stepdown mag plate. I bought one from him and it is just like my factory mags. Also as an aside: if you replace the followers in the 15 round mags with one from the 10 rounders your 15 round mags will easliy hold 16.
