I've never CCWd my GP100 but if I ever do, it will probably be with a Galco Concealable. You might want to peruse these sites though.

The sourdough pancake is one fantastic, elegant, tough as nails, comfortable and inexpensive holster. I have three of them and highly recommend them. For about 65 USD, you cannot find a better value.

I have a Galco Combat Master for a 4" Service Six. I don't know if they make it for the GP-100 though. It is open top, comfortable, and very concealable, even under an untucked T-shirt.

I've purchased a lot of holsters and YMMV, but to be honest, I won't buy another Mernickle. They messed up my order, then sent only part of it. When I finally got the belt it bled yellow all over my jeans until I sealed it myself. Never did get the belt slide. I'm partial to D.M. Bullard. He's local for me and does what he says, when he says. Nice stuff too.

after reviewing the recommendations listed here I think we have a winner, by the looks of it d.m. bullard has exactly what I have been looking for. Thank you rdrancher.

OWB FOR Ruger GP100 4"

I have a Ruger Gp100 4", and I always carry it in a FOBUS #RU-GP paddle holster. It holds the weapon perfectly, it has tension adjustment, it holds the weapon very close to my body.
Don't buy the belt model, because it doesn't hold the weapon as close to the body as the paddle. Also don't buy the rotating model because it doesn't hold the weapon as close to the body as the paddle does.
It's a heavy gun, and a good 1.5" or 1.75" belt would help. The Fobus holster can handle either size belt. Order the Fobus holster on line and they dont charge for shipping. It is very inexpensive & durable.

Another vote for Simply Rugged and most of his give you the option of IWB, OWB with the option of forward cant or straight or even cross draw. It's like several holsters in one and i want to try out his chesty puller setup or whatever it is he calls it.

Holster for ruger gp-100 4"

I have one more suggestion for a holster for a 4' Ruger GP-100.
It is a big heavy gun. Maybe you would like to try a Vertical Shoulder Holster?
They are fairly comfortable, and for a longer revolver such as the GP-100 you may not be able to use a standard horizontal shoulder holster, as it might print at the back side of a shirt.
GOOD LUCK!
