I have a Lee Turret Press that came with the Lee Deluxe Turret Kit from Cabelas. I have been loading primers manually using my fingers. I know Lee makes the Safety Prime tool. However, my confusion is over what I need to order. Can someone provide me with a link to what I need. What I mean is that I have seen it advertised saying that I need this or that to install it. Basically, what do I need to purchase so that I can have a fully operating safety prime mounted onto the Lee Turret Press?

Also, how do you like the safety prime? I have noticed that the priming piece that comes with the press often hangs onto the shell holder instead of resting as it should. Then it falls and I have to reset it. What can I do to eliminate this problem aside from holding the priming piece in place as I work the handle? Thanks.

If you're using the Auto Pro Disc you'll need a riser in order to provide enough clearance for the Safety Prime.

I'm not sure exactly what issue you're running into here, but the Safety Prime works very good for me. The primer pawl needs to be installed prior to the shell holder.

With my safety prime it took me awhile to get the technique. It also never feeds the last primer. Still a good value, I'm glad I have it, especially now that I know how to work it. It's not something I can explain other than push straight in, then down.
