Hi all, I am wanting to put some Crimson Trace grips on my S&W 610 revolver, but am unsure about the hard polymer grip as I am used to my flexible rubber grips. I need to hear from people that have them what you say. Thanks Mac
The C/T grip on my 340 is actually a bit more comfy than the stock boot grips that came with the gun. It has a softer rubber back strap with a bit of a crush-zone molded in.
I got a set for my Ruger SP101 but ended up swapping them out for a Hogue Monogrip. They were just too small and didn't give me the "grip" that I needed to shoot comfortably.I suggest you try to find a friend who has them on his gun or a gun store selling a gun with them already installed in order to feel them out.
I have three sets of CTC grips, S&W 340PD, G-19, G-26. I have had no problems whatsoever with the grips. The 340PD is brutal to shoot irrespective of the grip mounted on the gun.
I have one on my Glock 23 which is an attachment so the stock grip is still used. However the complete grip is a replacement on my Sig and its fine with no issues. I highly recommend them as they work very well.
We have been mounting them on M9's in military. They hold up (sand mud and condensation) really well and Hold zero nicely too once you set it. I got a set on my personal M9 aswell and am very happy with them. The weight is not more then normal grips and much better then a heavy or even light laser in the front of the pistol.
I have a set of the hard polymer grips on my model 13. They were $100 less than the other ones. I hate the way they feel. They do not seem to be a natural handhold. On the good side, They are sorta slim and hold their setting, when removed for cleaning. Its a real love/hate thing for me .
