Need some help with my next project

@Nature Boy ,are those your rings and scope too? The receiver looks to be very nicely fitted to the stock. Looking forward to a review from you once you have it, along with lots of targets, load work up etc. Very nice!!

The stock colors are killin' me (reminds me too much of Bulldog colors...) but overall a very nice rifle. Is that Khales the same one that you had on your Mausingfield, or a new addition for this rig?

It’s a new addition. I have the 6-24x56 on the Mausingfield. This is the 10-50x56. The former is MIL and the latter is MOA

I realize the camo colors won’t appeal to everyone but I wanted something different. I collaborated with my 14 year old son and settled on Call of Duty “urban camo”. That’s the inspiration for it and I like it

Update:

I hated the high scope rings. Couldn’t get a good head position behind the scope, plus it just looks goofy.

So, I swapped the high rings for a set of medium rings and ran into a bolt handle clearance issue with the Kahles scope.

After talking to Ian Kelbly at Kelbly’s he said to send the bolt back and they would bend the handle.

I FedEx’d it to him on a Monday and got it back on Thursday.......no charge. That gave me enough time to get to the range on Friday to finish load testing and shoot it in an F Class match on Saturday.

That, ladies and gentleman, is customer service.

It made a huge difference in ergonomics. Still, my rear bag needs to be a bit higher, I think.

I've heard only good things about Kelbys, good to see that trend continues!

That rifle looks right at home there!

God's I hope they get the real range set up here, I'd love to have a reason to have something like that built.

You have an island adding land by the minute. There ought to be enough to section off a high power rifle range

Lavas still busy blowing up boats, have to wait for a while......

There was actually a really REALLY nice shooting facility proposed, land donated, and people willing to build it, but hotels complained about the possible noise and blocked it.
