WHen i get my CCW, i'm most likely going to carry some kind of service sized auto of the single action persuasion, and a smith and wesson 37.

I plan to always carry the 37 right handed and the 1911/BHP/whatever left handed (i'm a lefty)

I shoot the 37 better left handed, but not fantastically better, and i shoot 1911s better left handed but not fantastically better, as well.

I plan to carry the 1911 in a left hand milt sparks summer special, and the 37 in some sort of pocket holster, after getting the hammer bobbed.

 Sounds good to me! My suggestion would be to keep your primary weapon on your dominant-hand side, and the secondary on your support-hand side. (Which you appear to plan on doing, anyway.) When I belt-carry BOTH weapons, they are in IWB holsters on a strong, well-made, 1 1/2" gun belt. I use a cross-draw, located at 10 o’clock, in order to make my backup piece available to both hands; and, I carry my primary weapon at 4 o’clock where it's least likely to pattern. If I'm using an auto, there is an extra OWB magazine carrier and a knife sheath located at 8 o’clock.

On those occasions when I carry a revolver as a primary weapon, I keep two speedloaders where they belong – up front, on the gun-hand side. Sometimes I need to vary the, ‘two guns/on one belt’ setup. Then, I’ll switch the BUG to an inside-the-pocket holster and carry it up front on the support hand side. (My BUG is, never, covered by a coat!) ;)

Sounds pretty good. I like to carry two guns, and I like to carry the backup on my weak side; you never know when your strong arm is going to be tied up/imobilized.

Only change I might make would be to move the 37 from a weak-side pocket holster to a weak-side belt holster. That way, you can reach either gun with either hand if need be. Personal choice, as always...

I carry a Browning HP 9MM with ambi safety. I use a Galco IWB holster. I rarely carry a BUG. My hideout is exactly that. I used to carry two S&W 442s in a Bell Charter Oak SOB rig. I have carried a 1911 in a Galco IWB. The key is comfort. If you have a fit and comfort problem, keep looking. It is better to carry a comfortable firearm with ease than to leave it at home.
