The Nevada Dept of Public Safety has put out a new list effective 7/1 of the states they will honor. They have added Florida, New Mexico, Massachusetts, Texas and Utah. They removed Delaware from their listing. New Mexico, Texas and Utah already honored Nevada. Florida will now honor Nevada as Florida will honor anyone who honors them. You can see the new listing at the link below.

I don't see on the list a distinction between resident and non-resident. Do you know if there is one? (ie: Florida?)

ETA: I read the text oF SB 175, there is no distinction mentioned that I could find.

And, thanks for all your efforts, Gary!

Until we honor the Colorado permit, we cannot CCW there, as they do not honor ours, nor will they honor any out-of-state permit, nor is there an avenue for a on-resident to acquire a Colorado permit.

'roscoe' please consider passing this history to your legislators to see if they want to make better use of their time. Here's the Nevada part of my decades of CCW notes:

- 10/01/2007 Nevada recognizes Utah's CCW permit.
- 01/03/2008 Nevada recognizes Florida's CCW permit.
- 07/01/2009 Nevada no longer recognizes Utah or Florida.
- 02/28/2013 Nevada no longer recognizes Arizona.
- 06/18/2015 Nevada again recognizes Arizona.
- 07/01/2016 Nevada recognizes Utah and Florida CCW permits.

As I understand it, any state must provide 24-hour LEO access to the CCW database for Nevada to honor it. Colorado does not have that.

Thanks for the reply. Wasn't referring to Colorado. it's about going in circles. There's a pattern of recognizing/dropping/re-recognizing that's gone on for nearly a decade.

There's plenty of data now showing none of these decisions affect public safety. I live in a state that recognizes all permits. Nevada is a gun-friendly state and with a nudge, maybe it will do the same.

Permit holders need to be 21 years of age or older.

Some of the States that NV just added issue permits to people age 18-20, so NV has added the restriction that permit holders need to be 21 or older.
