NEVER EVER, EVER GO INTO A GUN SHOP JUST ON A WHIM!!!

Nice HK!

I've REALLY been yearning for a USP 45CT lately.
Now I just need to find one for a reasonable price.

The P2000 is a great, shootable package. You'll love it.

I too am feel like a dirty used victim of this same shyster :fire: ...I hit my favorite "good ole boys" shop for some jawcrackin and ammo and BAM!!!

I was halfway home when I regained my full faculties and realized what happened  ...not only had I got the ammo for the Beretta 9000S that needed its first range trip, I had somehow become duped and was the owner of a Smith & Wesson 19-4 with 4" barrel, pinned barrel, recessed chambers, and @ 95% on the finish...:banghead:

What had I done?!? How could this happen?!? :cuss: I opened the range bag when I got home and I also had some used speedloaders, a used Safariland paddle holster, and ammo to boot...then I saw the receipt and it all became clear...I snagged a $400.00 S&W 19 .357 magnum revolver for $350.00 :D

HE PULLED THE OLE $50.00 REDUCTION SCAM...I FEEL DIRTY AND ASHAMED!!! :(

HEH HEH HEH HEH!!! :) ;) :neener:

last time I did that........

I went in with cash, and ended up walking out with a new M4 type carbine plus the 2 boxes of 9mm that I was originally after.

Now I call ahead and tell the owner not to sell me anything:D

I went to the local range to get in a little shooting one night. The guy behind the counter said "If you wait 15 minutes, it'll be 20:00 and you can shoot for half price."

So I looked at stuff in the case and in the racks for 15 minutes. Went home with a Bushmaster m4gery that night. That's my worst case of IMPulse-itis ever.

That IMP saw you coming! My latest IMPulse was only half an IMP. I was debating XD40 or XD45. Since my small town dealers cannot get XD45s since they are currently "allocated," I chose to buy the .40 he had in stock and get a .45 next time I am in the city.:D I haven't been to the city (in this state) yet, so my total lack of funding may just put that IMP to sleep when I have an opportunity to buy the .45. It didn't help that last time I was in a city in another state I went to one of the big chain stores and examined the .45. If I had been in my home state, it probably would have followed me home.

Try living out here. In the last 7 years, I've worked at 6 different auto shops. In each location, gun shops ranged from "on the way home" to " 2 mile detour". To make matters worse, there's always one close enough for lunch hour. On a given weekend, there is a gun show within 50 miles of my home as well. My situation is hopeless. Absolutely hopeless.

He got me today. Got my 1st 1911A1. Springfield Loaded Black Stainless Combat. I think I found Mrs. Right :) Don't think I'll get to shoot her till this weekend though :( If she shoots as good as she looks, I may have found my favorite out of my small collection.

I think we need a support group.

I did the same thing. I went to the gunsmith have my Ruger P345 ramped and throated. I was looking at a Walther PPK/S, a CZ-70, and a Witness Compact 10mm. I had no intention to buy anything until he said the magic words "You can put it on layaway for 3 months with 25% down." I don't remember much else after that. Let's just say layaway lasted about a month and the Witness got adopted;) . It lookes good next to the .45 in my nightstand. The layaway would have lasted longer but the guy who lives downstairs went to prison and his bipolar girlfriend and estranged daughter have been coming by to try and rob his apartment clean. I guess there is a warrant for the daughter's arrest. Now I have a handgun for everyone in the house. I feel so dirty. FUN, FUN, FUN FOR EVERYONE!!!:D

If whatever you want is important enough for you to go all the way back home and make another trip to the shop, then it just might be worth it.
:what: This is insanty I say! Suggesting driving to the same gun store twice! It is backawards thinking at best...

I am glad to read I am not the only one suffering from the "got to have it" affliction!!! I was browsing Red's gun Range on the southside of Austin two weeks ago and a new Winchester Model 70 with Leupold scope was on the used gun rack. The previous owner decided he wanted something else so it came home with me!!! I was looking for a 642 but got a model 70 instead. Layaway is the hook that makes things so affordable, or in my case, I just cashed my paycheck. Oh yeah, I am still looking for a S&W 642 if anyone sees one used.
