How much in time, effort, and money would it cost somebody not familiar with 1911's to source and change a trigger and mainspring housing?

So for a little over $750 and maybe an hour worth of time most people would be able to swap those 2 parts and save a bit of money.

I am not knocking the 70 series I love mine. It is a tackdriving tight gun. Shoots close to my Les Baer for about 1/3 of the price but if $$$ are an issue you can get a all metal Pony for less than the cost of the 70 series. I agree for some people it might just be best to buy the 70 series but a lot of people get gauged on those by LGS.
