Well,

Wife delivered my new baby boy, Justin Joel Roby, on Monday. Weighing in at 8lbs 8oz and 20 inches long!

Momma and baby are doing fine and I am trying to help out as much as possible and play defense against the 4yr old daughter when she tries to treat him like one of her dolls.

already got an ithaca model 49 lever action 22 s/l/lr single shot for him

Wife is so appreciative of the help that she is even going to let me get me stuff ready for the restart of deer season on the 11th!

Anyway, lots of sleepless nights and falling asleep on the treestand await. i think i might want to stick to ground blinds this year so it is a shorter fall if I fall alseep

Congratulations!!!

A baby will make love stronger, days shorter, nights longer, bankroll smaller, home happier, clothes shabbier, the past forgotten, and the future worth living for.

all the best to y'all! good-lookin critter ya got there!
yep, consider your life changed (you'll come to realize just how much)
not just your habits, but also your perspectives on things you haven't thought about in years, if ever.
I ALWAYS TELL NEW PARENTS THAT A DAISY LEVER-ACTION BB GUN IS THE BEST START FOR A YOUNG'UN. I START 'EM AROUND 5-6 YEARS OLD.
see? how topical was that!?!?

God Bless!!!

He's 5 days old... Why isn't he an NRA member yet? Both of my Daughters, aged 4 and 3mo, are members... Hurry up and enroll the boy!

Congratulations indeed. Another lil one to add to our ever increasing numbers. Won't be long, and he'll be in that stand with you.

When my oldest was born, I bought a .410 for him on the way home to get the bag that my wife and I forgot when the "time came". She has never let me forget it either, his first "real" birthday present!!!!!!!

Again, congratulations, hope he and mom are doing fine.

A fine looking boy, Frost, but you need to shave off that stubble before you scratch him all up.

He needs a scattergun to go with that Ithaca too.

You know, if you were to buy, say, a new 1911 for him, you could "borrow" it until he's old enough, you know, just to test it out and make sure it is safe, lol!

Just got another Les Baer Thunder Ranch Special Commanche in Hard Chrome (my 2nd Thunder ranch) and might just have to take fremmer's advice and ear mark it for the kids, but do ample "safety testing" until they are old enough for it.

Anyway, this is our second and he is a night owl right now and sleeps through the day. Today gonna try and get some sleep during the day. Been thinking of getting anothe 28ga or a .410 (both would be break open single shot or a nice bolt action if I could find one) for him and his older sister (4yrs old). I already have one of the early model red rider bb guns (was my dad's way back in the 50's) that my 4yr old daughter is using to make sure there is not a flying creature in the entire neighborhood (she brought home 4 eurasian collared doves from the neighbors yard just last week), so he will get a shot at the red rider if my daughter does't wear it out before then.

thanks for all the kind words.

Congratulations! Funny thing, I started the indoctrination of my 1st son early, but the gun fever never really stuck. He is a career Navy guy, but never has been a gun nut like his dad. On the bright side though, his son, my oldest grandson (22) is a shooter and multiple gun owner. I tell everybody the gun gene was in remission. :)

Congratulations and keep him as close as you can. Now go out and get him a new Glock so he will be ready when he grows up. You may not be able to get them at today's prices.

Awww... cute little guy! What's that ugly, fuzzy, misshapen lump that seems to be growing out of the back of his head, though? Oh, wait...

never mind. :D Problem of perspective
