I just picked up a new Gamo Big Cat 1200. I had taken my older Crosman 2100 Classic and Crosman 1377 pistol out to a friend's cabin yesterday. We had a blast shooting these airguns, but everybody got tired of pumping and pumping. I saw that Gander Mountain had the Gamo rifle for $139.00 with scope, but Mills Fleet Farm had the same rifle for $119.00 with scope, so I picked one up.

This Gamo is awesome. It took about 8 shots to zero, and this thing is accurate. Many holes are touching.

Folks, go out and get one of these rifles. Even though lead pellets have went up in price, this rifle is fun and cheap to shoot, accurate, and powerful. With lighter pellets, this thing can get up to 1200 fps in velocity. I've fired some nice spring piston air rifles that cost a lot more, but this one does the job for a lot less. It's great practice, and I think this rifle will work well on a lot of small varmits.

I'm saving for the Air Force Condor in .22 (PCP gun). Until then, my RWS & "Beeman" springers will tide me over. You got a link the big cat?

I agree, every shooter should have a nice pellet rifle, they are a blast. We spent most of yesterday shooting a .20 Beeman R9 and an .22 RWS 34. My brother and I were nailing WD40 and coke cans consistently from 90 yards !! We mostly used an ATV as a rest, but we made several shots off-hand at that distance, too!! These things are amazing !!

I bought a Gamo Big Cat last week at Big 5 for $117 and am very impressed by this weapon! It is my first pellet gun since I had my Benjamin as
a kid and they have come a long way! I can shoot 3/4 in, groups
with it at 15 yards. It looks great too. The rators go supersonic and they make a nice crack! It will also penetrate about 600 pages of a phonebook. I think I'm going to get addicted to airguns. I like the fact I can shoot them at my house. Next on my list is a Baikal IZH MP-13M, 20ft. lbs. and .22 cal. Or maybe a Baikal IZH-53.....:D
