I got a cheap hawken rifle in 45 caliber and the only name it has says made in Italy. Ive been told that means it was made by investarms. The barrel is in poor condition and Ive been wondering if i could get a green mountain 15/16 barrel and drop it in with little to no fitting? I know they advertise there barrels don't work with Spanish made guns but i haven't heard much about Italian guns. Thanks for the help

You can make it work.
It will require some fitting if it is an Investarm gun.
Better hurry. Rumor has it GM is done with ml barrels.

Cabelas and Lyman are both made by Investarm.
Barrels come up for sale all the time.

Just because it says 'Made in Italy' doesn't mean it's Investarms. All reproductions made in Italy say that. :banghead:

Im not so savvy with these old style muzzle loaders could you explain what a barrel remind is? and what is a RC breech plug? Any thoughts on weather it would be worth the work?

haha no problem Zimmerstutzen my phone hates me to, and thanks for the tip, how hard is it to relocate the tenon? is it something a welder could do or would it require more complex work? My bro in law is a good welder so i might just get him to do me a favor
