hello

it's obviously the same gun:

Browning Pro-9

FN P-9

Browning wersion says "Made in USA", so it's not Belgian, probably a traditional DA version of Forty-Nine? (hammer fired instead of the DAO striker).

Anyone have more info on this gun?

I liked the little FN except for the trigger, I wonder if this will be you can carry one C&L. Of course with the browning name it will cost three times as much.

I don't know how you can say that a gun is a hammer version of a striker gun. Striker and hammer fired weapons are so completely different internally that few, if any parts would work between them, including frames and slides. The two guns would have to have come off different drawing boards.

It shows it at a MSRP of $628. So figure the actual selling prices will be in the $500-$550. Pretty comparable to the competition.

I first heard that it could be carried c&l then I heard that it was traditional DA. If it was c&l and took hi-power magazines I would be interested.

Is that a decocker, safety or combo?

It looks like a decent pistol, but not too terribly groundbreaking.

I'd like to see how it functions in terms of manual of operation. Does the safety work like John Moses intended or is it like the quirky BDM?

I'd like to read more about this, and I think .357 Sig should also be offered.

Its a decocker only gun....I believe. Their gunsmiths said so anyway...FN's. I wish it was the double wammie safety...HK & Taurus style....the PT911 has a very very slick setup....
This gun isnt like the forty nine...same size and sights...about it.
It should have a better trigger.....IMO
Shoot well

Eric, my Blammo brand toy gun that shot little plastic disks had a better trigger pull than the FortyNine. :p

Correia,
Seriously..the forty nine wasnt a bad trigger. The few Ive fondled were pretty good...a little stout on pull but short and smooth.....
I think youre getting a CZ100 and FN mixed up....just like a newbie who gets a HP and 75 mixed up :neener:
Shoot well
