It seems Charter Arms now has an answer for the Taurus 856 UL (ultralight).
I saw it in stock on the Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore website.

It’s a 38 Special called The Boxer and appears to be an aluminum frame version of the Police Bulldog. The Charter Arms website lists its weight at 16oz. and its model number is 53620.

That's nice, but CA needs to do a 3" version like the Taurus 856UL Defender.

Yep .. I saw that .. came out last year … I called and checked if they were going to use the Boxer frame with the 44spl .. they said .. not at this time …
Basically the size on a 856UL … I share the same holsters with my 856UL and Bulldog frame revolvers

I'll pass. If I wanted fiber optic sights I'd get a $25 bb gun.
