I am looking for a new 9mm and ran across a CZ 100. The store had it priced at $349.00 brand new in the box. What does anyone know about this pistol and from what I've found the price doesn't look to bad. I'm moving soon and right now I don't have to pay sales tax or any other fee's to purchase this gun. I like how the gun feels and the price is below my planned buget but I've found few reviews of this gun. What's the good word? Thank's.

From what I've heard, the main issue with these is the trigger. I've heard the trigger pull is extremely long and not all that smooth. I would suggest seeing if you can dry fire it a few times before you buy it to see for yourself.

Never been disappointed by a CZ. I am not familar with the 100, but bet it's no exception! It's DAO, so you would have to learn the trigger. Most smooth out with use, or a trigger job wouldn't be a show stopper on a gun you paid $350 for.

I love CZ's and have 2, but even I wouldn't recommend that one. Trigger is really lousy. For the same money take a look at the Taurus' and Rugers. $320-$350 would could get a Ruger P95 or a Taurus PT111Pro - both of which are better guns IMHO.

Yep

The 100 has one of the worst triggers I've ever felt (Cant remember if the Colt P2000 was worse). The Polish maks were pretty bad too.

Whoever wrote that article doesn't quite have their poo straight.

I think the adjustable sights are necessary for import points. Not really a choice by CZ. I believe they could swap them once imported though (Glock might do something like that).

Another thing about the 100 is that it has a brother. There is a .40 cal version that wasn't imported into the USA. They called it the CZ-110.
Not quite.

9mm suggestion

Suggestion only, for approx another $100 you should be able to get a CZ75B in my opinion the equal of any of the more expensive 9MM imports. I rate with Hipowers/ I have both and I split range time with them.

I have had a CZ100 for years. I like it. Trigger is not as bad as my Kel-Tec. Adjustable rear sight and is very accurate. I have never had a problem with mine and it has 1000's of rounds through it.
