Deos yours have the .140" tall front sight?

Mine came with .180", like the others it shot a little low. The center of the front tritium was dead on at 15y, not the top of the front sight. I'm swapping to day time sights anyways.

The 2010+ models are quite nice.

Two changes to the 2010 Valor that I'm sure of compared to 2009 models include the front strap checkering which extends higher on the front strap ending closer to the trigger guard. The other is the new thumb safety. You can see the 2009 Valor front strap checkering in this link.

I don't know to be honest. The pistol is at the store for another two weeks but I can check when I go to visit the V-Bob on Friday or Monday. Maybe these photos will help. So any idea if the ejection port is new for 2010?

Another difference is that the Valor and V-Bob now have Heinie Ledge Straight Eight Night Sights which I really like, and if they work well for USPSA, I'll be changing the sights on my Kimber. The 2009 Valor in the link above has standard three-dot night sights.

I picked the Valor up from the gun shop yesterday so now it's home and I was able to measure the front sight. It's 0.185" tall or thereabouts.

The more I inspect the frame and slide of the Valor, the more convinced I am that Ed Brown makes them for CZ/Dan Wesson. I started a thread a while ago asking which 1911 manufacturers use a 9mm firing pin like Ed Brown. My Valor has a 9mm firing pin and there are numerous finishing touches on the frame that look identical to Ed Brown frames. Hmmm ...
