At the range to day using two 10 round Glock mags and one Glock +2 mag(all new), sporadically all three mags would not lock into place, whether loaded or empty.

I moved my finger around the release/lock tabs inside the grip and that seemed to clear the condition.

Any ideas what could be wrong?

TIA

I have a Generation 3 Glock 26, and I've never had that problem. If it's a Gen 4 pistol and Gen 3 mags, could that be the problem?

I'm just thinking out loud here--I don't know anything about Gen 4 Glocks.

Hi,

Yeah, I tried all three mags. The two that came with the gun and an aftermarket Glock +2. At the range it was hit or miss(lol) on all three if they would lock in place. Now at home, they seem to be ok, empty or fully loaded. It is a Gen 3 and the mag release button was/is pretty stiff.

I'm at a loss.

Is this a brand-new pistol? Maybe the spring is so stiff that it's not letting the magazine engage the catch. Could it be just a break-in issue? Try taking an empty mag and just popping it in and out over and over while you're sitting at home.
