Recently switched from full size M9 to the Colt New Agent.

don't know why that thing isn't on your list, I don't think she's left my side since I got her.

i have been a glock guy for some time. started with the 27 for carry and eventually went to the 22. they are reliable, accurate, easy to work on, and i can shoot them very well. all that havign been said, i voted for the ruger. i just recently picked one up for my wife (she picked it out) and was blown away. the grip is ten times better, the trigger is wonderful (especially considering it is striker fired), and recoil is absorbed and distributed throughout the had wonderfully. it is a small gun, but DANG is is a pleasure to shoot!!! im not a fan of the manual safety, but there is an easy fix for that.....just dont use it.

Thanks all for the input. I went to the local sportsmans warehouse tonight. I think I sold on the ruger. It feels the best in my hand and I like the trigger.

That's the important part. Pretty much all modern handguns from the big brands will trend towards the reliable side, so as long as it fits, you dun gud.

For cost reasons I would pick Ruger, but it would be hard to pick bad one from that list. You will be well ahead of the guy that came in with 3" S&W 629 wanting to find more body hugging ccw holster. The dude was about 60 he wore cargo pants plus jacket with about 85deg weather outside. I had to turn away and laugh as it would be obvious to just about anyone looking at him that he was packing a gun.

It's hard not to choose the original. Glock has proved itself over and over again. Not to mention all the other options listed are somewhat knock offs of the Glock. But with a selection like that it would be impossible to go wrong with any of them.

Just recently purchased an FNP 40 an it is practialy the same size as my P229 but weighs signifently less however my grouping is not as tight as the Sig but it will still get the job done. Makes a nice carry piece but is not considered compact.
