The GOP picked up 3 Governors last night. In Missouri, New Hamphire and Vermont, bringing their total to a staggering 34.

New Hampshire CC was vetoed a short time ago by the outgoing Dem Gov. With the new Republican in Concord, look for a fast passage in 2017.

I've always been on the fence about that one. I now live in Maine. But after 18 years in NY, then military and out. I have lived in many states. Penn, Ark, Fl, ND, and 15 years in Houston TX. I prefer CC people have a license. Just my opinion mind you. No offense. I like it if police know you have a license when pulling you over. Happens. Headlight out, speeding are what I have been through. Being where I have been, seen what I seen... to many idiots out there.
Maybe less invasive common sense paper work for CCP. Better recip laws. Nothing like NY or Mass.
Just my 2cents. No offense.

I live in NH. I hold licensing. I believe in Constitutional Carry, with licensing for reciprocity .That said, I don't believe whether or not I'm carrying, own or don't own firearms,an licensed or not to be the business of ANYONE-including cops. Especially some cops. My experiences with CLEOS,some patrol/detectives and NHSP personnel (NH Dept of Safety)has been mixed. And I have the NH Supreme Court ruling in my favor from 02/20/2015 to show for it.

Good for your folks in New Hampshire making a difference with your vote. Best wishes on getting that done.

Now can you send some of that common sense legislation down here to Texas??? (We need it.)

TX will be CC soon enough (c'mon, our congress meets once every two years, and it's only been a century since we last had OC, and a decade or so that we've had CHL). It'll be an easier sell than open carry, in my mind.

I find it interesting that such 'blue (ish)' states are approaching CC; supposedly one of the main rising stars on that side of the aisle has a much more moderated view on gun issues than we've seen recently. We may be seeing the end of gun control as a political football in a generation or so if things keep breaking our way (they have been doing so consistently for fifteen-twenty years, Trump/Clinton's nomination was the only real bobble and against all odds it still hasn't managed to reverse our momentum so far)
