New HBE holster:
I received my new Pro IWB from Eric a week or so ago and I couldn't be more pleased! This holster is hands down the best leatherwork I have ever seen, much less owned. All hyperbole aside, it is absolutely perfect in every way. I cannot say enough about what a great guy Eric is. He was patient, responsive, and informative during my telephone conversations with him. His sense of humor made conversation easy and fun, even when I was whining and asking when my holster would be ready. Anyone who is in the market for a custom made holster would be cheating themselves if they didn't call Eric before making a choice.
I'm a doofus:
Even with the holster described above, I seem to be having issues. The Pro IWB is a clip-on and when I draw my pistol, the holster is coming w/ it. I did the holster break-in trick (nylon dress sock over the weapon, left in holster overnight) and I'm wearing a stiff, thick western belt (Lucchese). Should the clip go over the belt or under? If I put the clip over the belt, it comes out w/ the pistol every time I draw. If I put the clip over the waistband of my jeans (under the belt) the holster is less likely to come out but shifts around and doesn't feel secure. What's the deal, what am I doing wrong? I never had this problem w/ crappy nylon IWBs. Any advice/ tips will be much appreciated.
Thanks, Clif
