Hello all. I just purchased a new LMT 308. Upon closer inspection I have come to see that the upper receiver is not completely aligned horizontally with the lower receiver at the rear. On the left side the upper slighty sticks out over lower receiver. My concern is that the bolt does not recoil straight back into the buffer tube but at a slight angle. Also that the upper/ barrel goes off to the right slightly. Here are a few pics. Is this worth worrying over? Thanks

Have you shot it or at least cycled it by hand? Does it function as it should?
It's not uncommon for upper and lower receivers (even from the same manufacturer) not to line up perfectly on the outside. If your rifle works, this is not something to worry about.

Weird. It will probably run fine, but for that much cash, I'd send that bugger back.
That does seem like a lot of slop, even if it works.
LMTs are not exactly cheap guns either..I'd give them a ring

LMT= $ I'd send it back for replacement. IMHO Have them do a UPS call tag, why should you pay shipping, Again my opinion....Don
By chance did you end up sending your rifle back to LMT? My 308 mws has the same issue with the alignment of the upper and lower. I have had the rifle for two years and just noticed it today when I was cleaning. Just wondering what LMT said if you sent it back to them
