Albany, NY- Today Governor Cuomo signed a bill into law that adds additional penalties to perpetrators of violent crimes who ignore a victims call for "timeout" to reload their 7 round magazines. The bill's original sponsors, John Cleese and Mel Brooks, were unavailable for comments at press time.
Victims can now call "timeout" in a clear voice, and must be given time to reload. After much debate at the statehouse, legislators decided that victims do NOT have to call "time in" to resume defending themselves from violent attack.
Said the Governor, "This bill will level the playing field between attackers and victims. This bill keeps safety foremost- it keeps our children safe, as well as my Presidential run in 2016". When asked about why each member of the Governor's security detail carries 3 magazines holding 15 rounds each, the Governor replied, "(unintelligible mumbling) ... great day for New York".
