any body use the new alliant ar comp powder in a .308 ? . i have a rockriver lar8 ,i normaly use 4064 and it has worked great for the m1 and m1a and others but i was thinking about this new powder for the rockriver . any idea's are appreciated .
I got a pound of AR-COMP i found out that it likes heavier bullets in 223. I also use it it for my 308 bolt action and works very well. It works alot better in the 308 and in the 223. I did not chrono my results, but 55gr 223 i had bullet wobble at target. But your using it for 308 so your good.
You will be good. I have a bunch of 147 fmj for the 308, i havent had time to send some out of the barrel but if they shot as well as my 180s, you should have
good results as i have so far.
Works fine for my 308 AR, performance is not much better than Varget with 168 Amax. It is pricy. No temp sensitivity. I'm saving it for longer range shooting.
