Good work! I've never "built up" an AK, but the one I bought has a trigger, so that's all I can go off of. :)

Any plans on refinishing the furniture?

I've seen some REALLY cheap RPKs lately and might go for one while I can. I've heard building AKs usually ends up costing more than buying one, but if you don't mind, how much did it cost to finish?

lol its not quite finished. still need to install the barrel pin and trigger group then test fire it. once the test fire is done im sending the wood to a guy for refinishing and the gun will go to my local smith for a park/dua coat job.. then it will be finished :)

that happens because of: 1) better parts cost more money, and 2) shipping adds up if you can't buy every part at once, which you usually can't unless you buy a kit

i could have purchased one already built cheaper but then i couldnt say i built it lol. and this kit i know was unfired before i purchased it :) i should have a little over 1200 into it by the time im done!!
