I thought I'd share with you a few things about this new rifle. The Accutrigger seems pretty cool and is user adjustable down to about 3 lbs (mine was set to the lowest setting in the box). You do have to remove the action from the stock to adjust it though (but I think you could drill an access hole in the stock to adjust it without removing it, if that is desired).

What I did not know was exactly how the accutrigger thing worked. I was expecting it to be kinda like glocks, in that if that little thing in the middle was not pressed into the trigger first that the trigger was locked into place and would not move. This is not the case. That little thing is like an additional sear bock that moves out of the way when pushed into the trigger. This means that if you pull the trigger from the side, it will move and the sear will begin to fall off the trigger, but will catch on the little safety lever thing. It will not fire, but if this were to happen, it requires "recocking" (that is moving the bolt up then down again) to reset the trigger sear connection. If this were to happen though it is very obvious because the safety thing (which normally moves vary freely, under light spring tension) is locked solidly out.

The trigger can not be moved when the normal safety is on, but if somehow the rifle was jarred enough to dislodge the sear from the trigger, the same thing would happen (gun would not fire, but trigger would lock up and require "re-cocking").

I just thought I'd fill ya all in on how this thing worked, as it was not exactly what I expected, not bad, just different.

oh and I did not even notice the thing in the middle of the trigger after pushing it into the trigger while firing.

and of course the stock sucks!! It looks tweaked!! there is more gap between the barrel and the fore end on one side than the other, and the for end flexes pretty easily.... new one on the way.....
