Got a new toy!

The good:

Very tight frame-slide-barrel fit. Purty. Reasonable price at $599.

The bad:

Mushy trigger. Plunger pin sticks out too far to re-insert slide stop without using a tool to hold it out of the way. Magazine quality unimpressive. ILS is a little odd.

The plunger pin issue is really annoying. It took me half an hour to figure out how to re-assemble it after a detail strip without leaving a big scratch on the frame. I did get an itty bitty scratch, but it's not even through the parkerizing.

Fortunately Springfield says "send it back if it doesn't get better" which I will after I shoot it a bit. I want to know how it feeds and if there are any other issues so it doesn't need two trips back to the factory.

I might even just ask them for a new plunger pins/spring set to swap out.

The trigger is less concerning since this is a project gun and it's getting a trigger job at some point anyway. I'll probably ignore the ILS, and I have good mags already.

Gotta go do some shooting.

Isn't is fun puttin that bugger back together? I got mine used and in great shape, probably few rounds through it, and it is far and away the most difficult to get together. Still like the gun though.

use a little grease under pin(to prevent scratch)push up and then in on slide
stop to install takes couple times to get the hang of it.

My Mil-Spec has that same issue with that pin. It's annoying at first but I've gotten used to it.

However, the trigger on mine is very tight and crisp.
