New stock for my M1 Carbine, please advise!!

As I was shooting my M1 Carbine, i noticed that my bolt was failing to go into a fully chamber posititon. The firing pin would just click, it wasn't fully up against the primer.

There is a small crack in my stock. so I need a new one. I know it's sacreligious, but i was looking at a ramline synthetic one. Any opinions???

M2 stocks are pretty easy to come by, both from Shotgun News and Gun Shows. I'd go with wood, unless you specifically want synthetic.

Get a potbellyed M-2. Stay away from the ramline.
