New to CC. Any advice is nice!

Just got my Georgia CCP after an amazing 6 day wait . Wanted to ask a questions of all the experienced CC guys/gals out there. I am going to be carrying a full sized 1911 and I live in GA. During the winter/fall/early spring when it is cool outside I can do a shoulder rig but in the summer it is a no-go.
I need some advice for a good setup for the summer. I am a big guy so I can easily CC it but just need some help with a rig. Thought about the Crossbreed Supertuck Deluxe. Any other ideas are great!

Get a Milt Sparks VM-II and

some good short sleeve button up shirts. I like ones with a square cut bottom made of heavier material. I wear thees open over a T-shirt though you could button up and skip the T. Look for shirts called camp shirts, these usually will work very nicely. You won't look like slob if you wear these over a pair of Dockers or nice shorts.

The Crossbreed supertuck is a very good choice. you might find the 1911 a little cumbersome in the summer months but its doable. You might experiment with your shirts, cut, size, etc....for the best concealement. In the summer I like wearing a t-shirt and a button down short sleeve shirt. Also, I suggest a good belt. Its helps a lot in supporting that 1911. I prefer a Galco or 5.11 instructors belt. Its infinitely adjustable so you are never stuck with one hole being too tight and one too loose. I haven't seen the need to spend a fortune on a belt or holster then the items I just mentioned will do the job just as well. Good luck!

Besides just thinking holsters, think about a GOOD belt and taking more, GOOD courses. have yet to hear of any of the quickly, minimal requirement courses being more than giving nothing but the bare minimum.

With a polo or camp shirt OWB holsters will work fine. You have to realize when you look at yourself in a mirror the printing is very obvious because you are looking hard for it. The rest of the world won't be studying your waist line and with folks carrying bigger cell phones, MP3 players, etc very few folks really pay attention. A pancake style holster with a good belt to hold it tight to the body is about a comfortable as you will find. Stay away from kydex in a OWB, they are too bulky.

I use a crossbreed supertuck and their gun belt. Its a nice setup. I don't carry a 1911, but my sr9c does almost disappear sometimes. The weight is nicely distributed due to the holsters size, and the belt is pretty thick and handles the weight well.

As with all my guns, I used a Comp-Tac CTAC. I did swap to smooth grips though as the checkered walnut grips rubbed my love handle raw.

JTQ is right about the gun belt. It makes CCW so much easier. Especially for those of us who's weight fluctuates frequently. Even 5 lbs can make a difference with IWB carry.
