I just wanted to say hello all, and that I just stumbled across this site for the first time and I think its great, looks like many many hours of good reading. So you know who I am : I am a glock owner, model 36 and 21C (i think, its a compensated 40) . I also am a 1911 fan, my wife has a custom Caspian in polished stainless with scheumann comp barrel, DE in .50 AE, and the bushy AR, and various SKS's and AK's. We are fairly serious reloaders, and shoot approx 1000 rounds a week, (my wife can turn out 400 rounds per hour on her RL550) anyways long story but I have learned more in the last couple of hours on this site than I thought possible and just wanted to express my thanks for a seemingly great site ! Keep up the good work. Adrian

Hello Adrian. It's good to see you're a 1911 fan, however, sorry about the Glock problem ... jk. Welcome to the High Road.

Two boxes .357 158 grain ... and a six pack of Old Milwaukee targets please. ;)

Welcome to the both of ya'! Good site, good people, for the most part. Seriously, there's a ton of good info here and several really sharp people I'd love to meet and shoot with, and chat. I'm sure y'all will fit right in!

Stay safe.
Bob

Welcome, Adrian. I think you've found yourself a good home.

By the way, I have a few hundred empty .45 ACP cases for your wife to reload. ;)

reloading wife

When I bought her the Caspian, she didnt like shooting wolf or blazer ammo !! that prompted us to buy the first press and tailer her rounds for her so she would be able to shoot longer without all of the silly recoil and BOOM with the cheaper ammo, Anyway She watched attentatively as I began using it, and soon was running the tumbler for me while I was at work, then one day she called and told me she had looked in the reloading manual, verified the correct charge the machine was throwing, and began making a few rounds for me to disassemble when I got home to check for accuracy, anyway, they were correct and she learned to read the calipers so she is proficient by herself now. It's made it great for us to go to the range a couple of times a week, however I dont ever get the buddy time I used to cause she never misses a chance to go, but I guess if I want to shoot its a fair trade-off. Since then my daughters have gotten .22 rifles and are learning to shoot. They are 10 years old and seem to really enjoy it. It is a total family event for us. Anyway thanks for reading, Adrian

Welcome Adrian, I'm sure you'll like it here.

I wonder if I set my tumbler on the wife's sewing table . . .

Worth a try I guess!

Welcome.

Forget the drinks and ammo. The real secret here is to share what you know.

Now share with the class how in the world you figured out how to get your wife into shooting, then into reloading, then into taking the kids shooting?

Howdy and welcome, my wife shoots with me (better then at me  :D ) and so do my boys. Good to hear she likes it and sounds like a self starter very cool.
