New to the situational awarness game

Hi everyone. I was home this morning and I noticed a man walking around at the park up my street, he was wearing business attire, so I figured he was just clearing his head or something. About 30 minutes later All the neighbor dogs and my dog started going crazy, so I walk over to where I can see my dog and what he is barking at and I see a man walking out of my neighbor's back yard who isn't home, I assume it is the meter reader and let my dog in. Then I find out the meter readers for my area came about two weeks ago. Odd. So I am watching the area around my house, but am not sure if any flags should have gone up, after I learned about the reader schedule one did come up though.

What would you have done? Called the cops?

Yes. Especially given that the meter readers came at a different time.

Call the cops and try to keep an eye on the offender from a distance so you can inform the cops of where he went. Other than that batten down the hatches and wait for uniforms to handle it.

You said you saw "a man" walking from the neighbor's house....was it the same guy you saw at the park ?
