Got back home about an hour ago from picking up a new complete upper. Here is the parts list as the seller sold it to me
This ar15 upper is a Stag Arms/CMT (Continental Machine & Tool) flat top receiver assembly and a Bushmaster 16" HBAR carbine barrel assembly. The bolt carrier group is DPMS and the charging handle is Stag Arms/CMT. Its a complete upper receiver assembly. I may be willing to negotiate a little bit on the price. Since Bushmaster doesnt use F mark front sight bases, I put an extended front sight post in the base to make it the proper height. The extended fsp is like 0.04" taller. Bushmaster barrels are 4140 steel and have chrome lined chamberes and bores and are 1/9 twist, MPI (magnetic particle inspected), and have a 5.56 NATO chamber so you can shoot 5.56x45 and .223 remington. I have only put maybe 200 rounds through this if even that many and cleaned it after each time out shooting. The inside of the upper has some finish wore off due to an out of spec charging handle which I replaced with an in-spec charging handle
Now his asking price was $400. After deciding to buy USED I asked if he would take $300. That he did, and this thing is clean and well taken care of. Can't wait to take it out and see what it does. He shared some range reports and seemed rather trustworthy so well see. Now I just need to build another lower.
