oleg,
do you ever do any actual shooting? :) no really those are some awesome pics, i wish i could take pics like that! I like your work.

My favorite photo of the bunch.
I can't imagine why.
(Truly an awesome image in every respect.
One minor suggestion: crop the right side by 1/3,
keeping the shooter and tree as focal points.)

Dude, if someone doesn't hire you as art director, then "someone" is a fool.

Nice work, Dr. Oleg.

Keep on keepin' on.

If he did that there would be no place to put your computer icons that wouldn't cover the subject. Wallpapers need dead space unlike photos for hanging.

Speaking of arranging icons, does anyone know of any screwball setting or little app I can download so that my desktop auto-arranges icons on the right side of my screen, instead of the left? My current wallpaper has the subject over on the left, and in the interval between when I hit the pic threads on ar15.com, sigforum, berettaforum, fchan, 4chan, and all ma' blogs, and when I move all the desketop icons to the Clean Desktop Initiative, the subject is obscured.

Whee!

Good point, GG.

I wasn't thinking wallpaper - and that was a mistake - but was thinking in terms of the "thirds rule" of photo composition.

For wallpaper, it's a perfect image.

This is what I did for my XP to hide the icons and have only the desktop on the screen.

1. Right click on the task bar and select Toolbars... New Toolbar.

2. Select Desktop and Okay. This will make a popup verticle menu of your Desktop items.

3. Right click on the desktop and select Arrange Icons By... and unselect Show Desktop Icons.

Pretty slick!

I would not advise scaling the photo to fit the screen. Your screen is 3:4 and the photo is 2:3, so leaving it at its natural size leaves plenty of space for the menu bar at the bottom.

BTW, that rifle is available in left-hand config.

I am currently using the one with the lady with the supressor. My screen resolution is currently 1920x1440, so I centered the image at original size, which leaves room for icons outside the image.
