I bought my daughter a Walther PK380 for CCW. The gun looked perfect. In fact, it fires perfect. However, this thing quite literary rattles. The barrel in the slide, the slide on the frame. You shake it, it rattles. I have no other automatics that do this. I'm taking it back to the gun shop Thursday to see what they say.

I tried to email Walther at [email protected] and it bounced as non-deliverable. I tried to call....hold till I got tired of holding. This is not looking good.

I guess if it hits where you aim it and runs good for you there's no problem. I've had a rattler or two and they shot well for me, rattling bothers some more than others. They are in all likelihood made that way for a reason.

I have a two tone one that is my wife's nightstand gun. Grease the slide rails and it will cut down on the rattle a bit. They are great shooters and the rattle does not bother me because I am not trying to sneak up on anyone while holding it.

Is the gun's barrel rigidly affixed to the frame? (Those of most blowback pistols are.) Then it really matters little how loosely the slide fits on the frame. Even on recoil-operated pistols, whose barrels move with the slide, the fit of the slide to the frame makes little difference in accuracy, as long as the fit of the barrel to the slide is reasonably tight. How does it shoot? It might surprise you and actually work. :p Also, it may feel tighter when a full magazine is in place and a round chambered.

Yes, Harmon is correct..

Mine rattles too but they are a great little gun . Very smooth and easy to use.
