I recently purchased my first revolver, a Taurus Tracker model 627SS6. I was fortunate enough to find one NIB for $350 and would like to spend that savings mounting up a scope. I already ordered the necessary mounting rail, but I need some advice as far as scope mounts and the scope itself. I've narrowed my search down to 6x magnification and a maximum cost of around $250. I would prefer stainless/silver color if possible, but accuracy comes first and foremost to me. I would really appreciate some advice here, thanks guys!

You don't want a 6X scope, way too much magnification for a handgun IMO.
Take a look at the Weaver Classic 2X28, I have one on my S&W 686 and it works great.

Good luck!

Agreed. 6x is too much.

I wouldn't go over 4x myself.

Leupold makes a great quality 2.5x8x32 I would consider looking at. They also offer a 4x and 2x.

It's a strong scope, ideal for large caliber handguns.
