Forgive the redundancy if this has already been brought up, but I just looked at Winchester's site and it looks like the ye old model 94' and the 1886, 1892, and the (non-commemorative) 1895 is coming back into production. Yay! Looks like I may have to invest in a new 1895 in 30-06.

:)

They also have a few new model 70s...the "stealth" (obviously tactical/varmint oriented), "stainless featherweight", and they brought back the "classic safari"...and I just bought a new .375H&H Mauser last week (for about the same price). :banghead:

Somebody is thinking!
Darn skippy!

I told you so
I called and asked (was told "not a chance...not popular enough...dude")...darn near begged them to make it (and a .260 featherweight)...now I wanna choke that little peckerwood.

CDNN has 1895 in .30-06 in some other variants, including a schnabel takedown and a military-style cavalry version.

Those are new-old stock rifles from the last production run (which was a while back), and while it isn't a bad deal, I would rather have the new non-takedown (lighter) and retain the longer bbl.

:)

Actually, for a gun that weighs 8 lbs. with irons, another 1/2 - 3/4 lb. is pretty horrible.:)

Takedown is pretty neat, though.
