Actually the "slowdown" of the 17% of the government not covered by off budget entitlements (~66%) and the military/VA funding bill, but I digress . . .

Just called to check on the corrections I sent on 8/30. I guess firearms examiners are not "essential".

I'd always been told that when you have a correction, you are about a week from getting your stamp. If I don't get the stamp in the next few days I'll know that they did not get to it before closing up shop.

Interesting info, Mike.

I have a client who received an exception letter. The mailing date on it is October 2, which is post-shutdown. It says he can fax in his info, so he did. Makes me wonder if their fax machine is just overflowing with paper right now.

P.S. The exception letter was also nonsense. They wanted a "schedule of beneficiaries" but his trust lists the beneficiaries clearly in the body of the trust, not on a separate schedule. Go figure.
